May Favorites (&Some Holy Grails)

Hello everyone!
Today I'm bringing you my May favorites! As I said in my previous post, I haven't really done this so far, and I really enjoy watching these videos on YouTube, so I decided to do this every now and then. I feel like the products a person uses and likes can say a lot about a person, so it is a good follow up to the previous post, I feel :)

Here is a quick overview:

Now, let's get started:
1. Avon Clearskin pore penetrating Black Mineral Mask with salicylic acid (0.5%)

This has to be the best face mask I've ever tried. After you've used it, you can actually see everything that has been in your pores, and all the dirt that the mask has pulled put of your skin. When you first put it on your face it is black, and as it dries it turns gray. And after it's turned gray, you can see little black dots all over your nose and other critical areas. It actually makes you feel like you've done something good to your skin.

2. Garnier PureActive Intensive Exfobrusher Spot Fight
(Anti-shine, anti-spot, anti-marks)

This has become one of my holy grail products. I use it on the weekends, because I don't really put on makeup during weekdays, so after the makeup has been on my skin for a long time, I love to use this, because it clears all the remaining foundation and all the dirt off my face. It's definitely the best scrub I've ever used. I have a mild one to use in the shower everyday, but I don't really see what it does yet. It is supposed to be for oily spot-prone skin, but it works for my normal to combination skin just as well.

3. Garnier Skin Naturals Micellar Cleansing Water

Before I discovered this product, I used some lotions and cleaning milks to remove makeup, and I always had a feeling as if these products, even though they were effective in removing make up, used to just clog my pores and didn't do any good to my skin. So after I discovered this micellar water, I was amazed at how well it worked and how soft and moistruized my skin felt after using it. Some waterproof make up needs a bit of scrubbing with this product, but it's all good.

4. Ionic silver

I had some dermatological issues on my hands for the past month and I decided to try using ionic silver, and while I was using it on my hands, I would spritz a bit on my face, too. Even though it didn't do much for my hands, my face feels much more hydrated and glowy since I've used it.

5. Maybelline New York Affinitone perfecting + protecting foundation with vitamin E

I don't use this very often, because I don't really need a lot of coverage lately (my skin has been good to me for some time now), but whenever I reach for it I'm really amazed at how flawless my skin looks. I actually bought the wrong shade (09 Opal Rose), it's a bit too light for me, but I just fix it with some compact powder and it looks great :) The only thing I don't really like (but this is my second one, so I obviously don't mind that much) is the packaging. The foundation is very liquidy and flowy and it's in a tube, so it can sometimes fly out of it and you don't really need a lot of it. If it had a pump, it would be perfect, but what can you do.

6. S-he stylezone mineral compact powder

I bought this product on a sale, and I literally didn't expect anything. I just wanted to see how this works. It is really light, it doesn't really have a lot of coverage, but I use this to set my foundation (either the one by Maybelline I just talked about, or my Garnier BB cream). It prevents shine and also helps me to set make up and makes everything really even. I have a post where I review this product and compare it to a Manhattan compact powder, and I didn't really like it back then, haha. However, now I think it's amazing :) This is in the shade 188/001

7. ELF 100 eyeshadows palette

This is one of my most recent purchases. I bought it in April and I made a promise to myself to make a different eye look using this palette every weekend. And I've been really good about it, too. I love the multiple possibilities with this palette and all the different colors to play with. Some of the eyeshadows are not really pigmented, but most of them are great and I've enjoyed it so far. I bought it on ELF's website in the UK that, sadly, doesn't exist anymore, but it was £4.50 and I think that's amazing price for that kind of palette.

8. Essence brushes

I bought all of these one by one, and as I bought each one of them, I fell in love with every one. I have (from left to right): eyeshadow brush, which I love using for applying eyeshadow all over the lid; smokey eyes brush, which is a nice fluffy brush and I use it for outer corner of my eyes and some blending as well; an angled eyeliner brush, which I use either for my gel eyeliner or for applying a more precise line of eyeshadow; and last but certainly not least, a big, fluffy blending brush, which I use for.. well, blending, and applying eyeshadow in my crease. I love all of them!

9. Maybelline mascara

I have always used and loved Maybelline mascaras, but I think this one is my favorite so far. It is almost used up, and I'm not sure if I want to simply stick to that one, or to dry a different one, but I really like it. It is quite wet in its consistency, but it dries quite quickly and I really love that about it. It applies really nicely and evenly, it doesn't clump and I think it looks amazing.

10. M.A.C. lipstick

When I was trying to sum up everything I wanted to include in this post, I was going to include Myth by M.A.C cosmetics. I really did like it. However, a week ago, I went into M.A.C in order to spend my giftcard I got for my birthday. I really wanted to buy Brave (satin) and I finally found it (they didn't have it when I first went there). It is this amazing purple-y pink-y nude that is the perfect 'Your lips but better' shade. I have enjoyed this lipstick much more than the Myth one lately, so I decided to remove Myth and add Brave to my Favorite products even though I haven't used it a lot.

11. L'Oreal Total Repair 5 Shampoo and Conditioner

This makes my hair soft like nothing else. I used to use Head&Shoulders shampoo, but I realized how harsh it was when I stopped using it. When I started using this, my hair was shiny, bouncy, healthy and I am really happy about it. I am not going to write about this too much, because I have a hair care routine comming up soon and I will talk about it more then :)

12. Avon Advance Techniques Dry Ends Serum (for all hair types)

This is my holy grail product, and I'm pretty sure it will always be my holy grail. It makes my ends hydrated (my hair tends to be quite dry at the ends) and my hair is really shiny when I use this. You know when something is really good when you stop using it and see a difference. That is exactly what happened to me and I don't think I will stop any time soon :) Again, you will hear me talk about this more in my next post.

13. Balea 1 minute hair mask with mango and aloe vera

(I don't have a picture of this product, because I had a hard time finding it in the store. I hope that doesn't mean Balea is not going to make it any more :/ But if you go over to my Instagram, you can find it in more than one photo, that's how much I like it! @Kelly1393)

Another hair product, and another holy grail. This is, hands down, the best hair mask I've ever used. It smells divine, and makes my hair really soft and healthy. I don't use this product on a daily basis, but once a month, or if my hair is extremely dry, I would use it twice a month. It makes all the difference, I promise.

14. Essence teal lak

I think this is the perfect nail polish for the summer. The color may be outdated already, because all the rave concerning this color is in the past already, but I still believe it is the perfect summer-y color. Also, what I love about it is how fast it dries. You have to wait for a couple of seconds and it is dry, and you can go do whatever you want :) Of course, going to the beach would be the best choice, right?

15. Milka Oreo

I have always been a Milka fan. I think Milka has the best chocolate in the world and I liked almost every chocolate they made. However, this, Milka Oreo chocolate, has to be the best thing in the world. What I especially like to do is freeze it and then eat it frozen. The vanilla cream in the middle is very light and smooth and then crunchy pieces of Oreos... Divine! You go try it right now! You won't regret it :)

And that is it! My favorite products. Have you tried any of these? Do you like them? If you think there is a product I have to try, let me know :) also, I would love it if you could suggest some great mascaras for me to try out!
