Our Trip to London Planning || Part 1

Hello everyone!

Today I am bringing you a post about my trip to London.

Now, my boyfriend and I have decided to go to London about a year ago, and we have started planning it about three months ago (our trip is in February). We have started to search for flights and accomodation, comparing the prices and trying to decide what to go for.

I know that there are plenty of cheap hostels and hotels, but we have actually decided to use Airbnb. We've managed to find accomodation for $44 per night. This is mostly due to the fact that we've started looking quite early. The price for both of us for 7 nights (including Airbnb fees) ended up being $354, meaning $177 per person. I think that's an amazing deal. We tried to find something where we can use a kitchen, so that we can eat breakfast a bit cheaper than eating in town, as well as being able to eat there in the evening. Also, we wanted a place that offers free WiFi, so that we can contact our families for free.
We are staying with a young couple, that have been super helpful and we are really looking forward to staying there.

Now, for the flight. We have found so many options! But the cheapest one was British Airways. We got tickets for about $180, including bags (23kg) and hand lugage.

So, for both flight and accomodation, we paid around $360. I think that this was such a good deal!

Now, after we've booked everything, we decided to get a big notebook and start writing everything down. From sightseeing to tips and tricks for getting around London and saving money. We decided not to visit some very expensive sights like Madame Tussaud's, because I just don't see a point in spending $30 for something I don't find that exciting any more. This was something I was dying to se when I was about 15 years old, haha!

We have quite a list by now including restaurants, sights (free or cheap), markets (including food markets with some amazing street food) and many more.

When our list is complete, we will start planning every day we spend there, according to where each sight is and to how much time will we have each day to go around.

It has been my dream to visit London for more than 10 years now, and now I really want to spend it the best way possible!

Do you have any tips and tricks for us? Some things we simply have to see? How to save money? Where to shop, eat, walk, look?

Thank you!

And thank you for reading!
See you soon xx
